By gaining the Royal Yachting Association Diesel Engine Maintenance Certificate, you bacome able to manage and maintain a Marine Diesel Engine.

You learn about necessary engine maintenance and systems and how to avoid most mechanical breakdowns while out at sea.

This is presented in our classroom based at the Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town.

This course completion certificate entitles the holder to be in charge of a sailing vessel’s engine, up to 750 kW, in Category “0” (zero) waters.

Completing this course is also useful to candidates wanting to work alongside engineers on Yachts and smaller Super Yachts.

Your instructor will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing various marine motors to a substantial amount of horse power.

Upon booking we provide you with a program, what to bring and where to be etc… will be sent to you prior to the start of the course.
